					<description>I had the same thing happen to the same type of lock.  There are two advantages to the tubular key type locks.  They are a little harder to drill, and the torsional forces when actuating the lock are more evenly distributed, thus making the key less likely to break off in the lock.  That said, I still use another variant of this type of lock for other applications, because apparently I am a glutton for punishment.

As an aside, I met the founder of Kryptonite, Mike Zane, on a plane ride once.  Great guy.</description>
